Apart from some isolated examples of the advanced trainer V.E.F. I-15a/b, the first six I-12 constructed entered into service during 1937, if considerated why are the uniques local design aircraft used by Latvian Air Force. Some of these airplanes was converted by units in one-place for advanced fighter training and liaison missions.

If unknown the last fate about the last destiny after Soviet Annexion of these nations. But also exist some German images of certain examples of one-place of I-12 in Luftwaffe use during German occupation of territory for use in training, watching and communications, assigned to Latvian volunteers unit.
