The Olympic Park and Olympic Sports Complex are still major attractions. Olympic related sculptures stretch between the two locations, intersected by the Lotte complex. A large farmer's market, called Garak Fish Market (가락시장), is located in Garak-dong, in the center of Songpa-gu.

The geography of Songpa-gu is relatively flat throughout and administrators have attempted to make it Seoul's most bicycle friendly district. Nearly all sidewalks have bicycle lanes accompanied with international bicycle symbols or notifications.
