Political hip hop is a sub-genre of hip hop which is popular around legendary groups and rappers including The Coup, The Perceptionists The Goats, Common, Nas , Public Enemy, X-Clan, 2Pac ,Ice Cube, KRS-One, Mos Def, Dead Prez, Paris, Saul Williams, Immortal Technique, Gatas Parlament, Jedi Mind Tricks, Sabac Red, Lost Children of Babylon, Marxman, and Success - N - Effect. Many political hip hop artists drew ideals from the Black Power Movement such as the Black Panthers.
