Other names in common use include acetylglucosamine kinase (phosphorylating), ATP:2-acetylamino-2-deoxy-D-glucose 6-phosphotransferase, 2-acetylamino-2-deoxy-D-glucose kinase, and acetylaminodeoxyglucokinase. This enzyme participates in glutamate metabolism and aminosugars metabolism.
