Moriusaq

Moriusaq is a small settlement with 21 inhabitants in the municipality of Qaanaaq, about 30 km from the Thule Air Base. Hunting in the area is good, particularly fish, seals and polar bears. In the recent past some families moved away, particularly to Qaanaaq, where the infrastructure is better.

Moriusaq offers it inhabitants direct TV and radio broadcasting, private telephones and a small power station for electricity. Moriusaq has a small store, a school, a church and a library. Each year the village is visited by a doctor and a dentist.
