M-52 is a north-south state highway in the U.S. state of Michigan. The southern terminus is on the Ohio border, where it continues as State Route 109. The northern terminus is at M-46 nine miles west of Saginaw. The total length is 128.2 miles.

M-52 goes through the following communities: Adrian, Manchester, Chelsea, Stockbridge, Perry, Owosso, and Saint Charles.

In northern Lewanee County, M-52 crosses U.S. 12 about 15 miles east of the Irish Hills area and the Michigan International Speedway. North of Interstate 94 in Washtenaw County, M-52 passes between Waterloo State Recreation Area and Pinckney State Recreation Area. In Saginaw County, north of St. Charles, M-52 passes about 10 miles west of Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge.

M-52 is a two-lane freeway between M-50 and the intersection of Austin Rd., near Manchester.[citation needed]

Historical Notes

  • M-52 from I-96 to M-46 was originally part of M-47 until 1969.
  • Until 1962, M-52 from Clinton to M-36 was designated as M-92.
