Iyalode Jokotola Abebi Aromire (1935 - 2007). Born on April 1, 1935 in Otta, Nigeria to Raliat Oduola and Sanusi Afolabi Salako. Attended St. James' School, Otta, Nigeria and Teacher Training College, Lagos, Nigeria. Certified Teacher and proceeded to Nottingham, UK for Montessori Teacher Training and Certification. Married to Tanimowo Olumuyiwa Aromire. Frontline Designer commissioned to design the Royal Banner for the reception of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Colonial Nigeria in 1956. Supervisory Councillor for Education, Ifo Otta Local Government, Nigeria. Community Leader, Preeminent Educationist and Founder of Iganmode Nursery and Primary Schools, Otta, Nigeria and Royal College, Otta, Nigeria. At diverse times President of Council of Women Societies and Horticultural Societies. Installed Yesorun Otta in 1970, and subsequently Iyalode Otta in 1990. [1]
