Iran Standard Time

Iran Standard Time (IRST) or Iran Time (IT) is the time zone used in Iran. Iran uses UTC+3:30. IRST is defined by the 52.5 degrees east meridian, the same meridian which defines the Iranian calendar and is the official meridian of Iran.

Iran did not observe daylight saving time from 2005 to 2008 [1] [2], which was called Iran Daylight Time (IRDT), by discussion of President Ahmadinejad. It is observed again from March 21st 2008, enforced by the Iranian Parliament.[citation needed]

Iran has one tz zone: "Asia/Tehran".
