H with descender (Ⱨ ⱨ) is a letter of the Latin alphabet, derived from H with the addition of a small descender. It was used in Uighur to represent a voiceless glottal fricative (English h, IPA: /h/), while a regular H was used to represent a voiceless velar fricative (German ch in ach, IPA: /x/).
This letter was in use from the early 1960s, when the Latin alphabet was introduced for writing Uighur to replace the Arabic alphabet, up until 1984–1986 when the Latin alphabet was phased out and the official script was changed back to Arabic again. The equivalent Arabic letter is ه.
H was added to Unicode in version 5.0 (2006), as U+2C67 (uppercase) and U+2C68 (lowercase).
