Edo G, also known as Ed O.G., born Edward Anderson in 1971, is a hip-hop artist from Boston, Massachusetts. In 1991, Edo G put out a highly-esteemed album with his then-group Da Bulldogs, entitled "Life of a Kid in the Ghetto." It featured a Boston-local hit, "Be a Father to Your Child," as well as, "I Got To Have It," which was sampled later by Mary J. Blige on the track "Ooh". The group was dropped from Mercury Records in 1993.

Ed has since gone on to release four LPs and two EPs, toured around the world and worked with counterparts such as Pete Rock, DJ Premier, KRS-One, Common Sense, Black Thought of the Roots, and Masta Ace among others.

Although not nationally known, he has a cult following in Boston and an international fanbase. On his solo album The Truth Hurts (as Edo G), he linked up with DJ Premier and Pete Rock; the latter connection turned into a partnership for the largely Pete-produced record My Own Worst Enemy. One of the album's songs, "Wishing" (featuring Masta Ace), was featured on The Boondocks in episode 9, Return of the King.

In 2005, he started a group called "Special Teamz" with fellow Boston rappers Jaysaun and Slaine and DJ Jayceeoh. They released a mixtape on November 11, 2005 entitled "The Mixtape."

Edo and his group, Special Teamz, are working on a new album, Stereotypez, featuring production from Pete and Premier as well as Marco Polo, previous collaborator Jake One, and Ill Bill; appearances will include Buckshot and Sean Price of the Boot Camp Click, Ill Bill, and Devin the Dude due to come out September 25, 2007. Edo G is currently working on a new album with Masta Ace. The first single, entitled "What Does It Matter", can be heard on his official Myspace page.

Edo G is also a member of the Boston hip hop supergroup 4Peace along with Twice Thou, Wyatt Jackson and DQuest.
