Equipment

  • 2 Dice
  • 1 Empty glass
  • Liquor or beer

Set up

Put an empty glass in the middle of the table.

Game Play

  • One person pours any desired amount of alcohol into a glass, then rolls the dice.
  • If that person rolls a 7, 11, or doubles, he/she picks someone to drink.
    • Whoever is chosen to drink must chug the alcohol in that glass before the person rolling the dice rolls another 7, 11, or doubles.
    • The person rolling cannot touch the dice until the other person touches the glass with his hand.
    • If the drinker finishes the alcohol and puts the glass back on the table before the roller rolls a 7, 11 or doubles, he/she thens fills the glass as much as is desired and the dice are then passed to the next person.
    • If the drinker does not finish the glass before the roller rolls a 7, 11, or doubles, then the process is repeated again until he beats the roller.
  • At any point, another player may "steal" the glass and chug in place of the designated drinker. If this occurs, that player is now the designated drinker and all of the rules still apply.
  • The drinker is not allowed to move the dice.

History

This game originated in Russia, in the city of St. Petersburg in the late 1800's.
